Biography

Jonathan Michael Deuschle

It all began with a lion painting.

Fascinated by the ineffable wild of my homeland, Zimbabwe.

All the creative hankerings were taken out on African wild life, soon abstracts were to follow. I found I was hung up on beauty as a whole. Vivid colours and moments were my obsession. I spent my days taking risks on a canvas. I was learning to let it fly. My work continued to find homes all around the world, and inspiration kept its course.

I wound up locking into galleries, exhibitions - gathering amongst fellow art collectors and creatives.

Giving reason to my work was a splendid joy. Sharing the process behind a piece wooed me into the next. Finding my true name in art gave way to a project called "Harp To The Heavens." 20 pieces reflected the life of King David in the Psalms. Each varied in size, colour, even the seasons of life I was in. I strived to capsulize every word flowing from these poetic prayers into strokes and moments. From Psalm to art piece, to commentary, to personal music written, Harp To The Heavens found its way into pages forming a coffee table book.

A mirrored love to art is one I behold in creating music. Through both these expressions I long to make my heart known - ever changed by the love of Jesus.

To enjoy listening, the music journey begins here...
